Dr. Hye Sung Kim’s research centers on mechanobiological engineering of cell-instructive biomaterials to control mechanotransduction and enable mechanotherapeutic strategies for tissue regeneration.
Her work combines nano- and microscale engineering, mechanically tunable matrices, and organ-mimetic 3D systems, including spheroids, organoids, and assembloids. She aims to decode the physical regulation of cell behavior and translate these insights into regenerative therapies, particularly for fibrotic and pain-related diseases.
